STEP 1: Locate and remove the front plastic slash shield 10mm nuts shown in red.

The CARAMORE plate is mounted on the front 3factory studs and the OEM splash guard is installed over the plate. This allows for the plate to be centered and aligned with the frame rails on each side. These nuts are kept loose until all other fasteners are installed. These (3)10mm nuts should be tightened last.

STEP 2: The provided self-tapping screws to hold the plate in place while drilling the rivet holes. Place one security screw in any of the red outlined areas. These areas will house the security screws once the other holes for the rivets have been drilled.

*We highly recommend using a clearance adjustment tool when installing the shield. A wood 2×4 or equivalent should be placed between the cat and the shield prior to installing any permanent hardware. This will ensure the shield does not rattle.

STEP 3: Alternating sides,drill out the remaining holes. You can use the self tapping screws or a 3/16＂drill bit. Once drilled, alternate sides again and install the rivets highlighted the red areas.

STEP 4: Install the security screws in the center and outer holes of the shield.

STEP 5:

Replace the front splash shield and tighter down the (3)10mm nuts. Remove the clearance tool from between the cat and shield.

Professional tip: Check to see if you have the required aluminum mounting bars. You may have zero,one,two,or three. You will need a minimum of two support braces to complete this installation. If you have no support braces please order them from Toyota using part number 57533-47030

Install Instructions

STEP 1:

Ensure there are two support bars in the forward-most positions.

Hold the CARAMORE shield up and install two self-tapping screws in opposing corners as shown on the picture.

STEP 2:

Once the CARAMORE shield is stable,proceed to drill out the inner holes for the rivets.Install the rivets using the 1/2” rivet gun

STEP 3:

Install the security screws in the corners of the CARAMORE Shield. You can use the self-tapping screws to make the holes for the security screws,if you do not have a 5/6” drill bit. Install security screws and you are done.

• (1)-aluminum rear shield
• (4)-1/4 inch rivets front (larger)
• (4)-3/16 inch rivets use for rear shield(standard length)
• (3)-3/16 inch rivets use with spacers(longer length)
• (3)-Nylon Spacers
• (1)-Anti-Rattle Tape
• (2)-Screw

STEP 1: Start by removing the 4 front factory plastic clips that hold the aluminum dust cover in place. Once removed you can then remove the factory dust cover(the dust cover and plastic clips will not be reused on this install.)

STEP 2: Before installing the front shield we highly recommend using the anti-rattle tape provided in this kit.

With the radius of the front shield facing towards the front of the vehicle slip the shield into place aligning the front four holes with the factory clip holes that we removed the plastic clips from in step one.

STEP 3: Locate the 1/4” rivets (the larger of the two included in hardware kit) make sure the front four holes line up properly then using a heavy-duty 1/2” rivet gun insert and install the front 4 rivets into the existing holes.

STEP 4: (NOTE: The Installation of the rear rivets come with spacers to allow for proper clearance. To ensure the best fit with no rattle.use the spacers when securing the rear part of the front shield.)

Once the front four rivets are installed you can then use the predrilled holes in the plate as a guide to drill your holes on the vehicle.

Drill the remaining 3/16” holes. Using the spacers and longer rivets, install and check for clearance around the exhaust.

STEP 5: (NOTE: The Installation of the rear shield rivets are standard length.)

Drill out the 4 holes in the rear shield using the holes as guides. Install the remaining rivets and check for clearance.
